Where are ThingLab products made?
ThingLab products are designed and 3D printed in Mumbai. Most pieces are produced in our studio, checked by us, packed and then sent out to you.
Meet FACET POT a sculptural indoor planter built around bold geometric surfaces, a wide planting area and a matching drainage tray.
Designed to hold soil directly, it works like a proper plant pot while still feeling unmistakably ThingLab.
Its faceted outer form creates strong light and shadow across the surface, while the low, wide proportion makes it easy to style on desks, shelves, side tables, consoles and window ledges.
Choose how you want your FACET POT to feel.
A soft, tactile textured surface created during the 3D-printing process.
The texture catches light differently across every facet, giving the planter a more playful and tactile appearance.
Best if you want the surface itself to become part of the design.
Feels: Textured · Tactile · Playful · Statement
A cleaner, more refined surface that keeps the focus on the geometric shape of the planter.
You may still notice subtle 3D-print layer lines up close — that’s part of how the object is made — but the overall appearance is cleaner and more minimal.
Feels: Clean · Architectural · Minimal · Refined
Same planter.
Same size.
Same functionality.
Just two completely different surface personalities.
FACET POT isn't just a decorative outer cover.
Add your soil directly into the planter, place your plant inside and water as usual.
The planter is designed with drainage so excess water can move out instead of sitting around the roots.
A separate tray sits underneath to collect the runoff.
Soil → Plant → Water → Drainage Tray
Simple.
Every FACET POT comes with its own matching drainage tray.
The tray sits neatly underneath the planter and helps catch excess water after watering.
So you can comfortably place it on:
Desks
Shelves
Side tables
Consoles
Window ledges
Bedside tables
For indoor use, we recommend checking and emptying collected water from the tray after watering when required.
Approx. 8" wide × 5" tall
Think of it as roughly the width of a standard 8-inch plant pot, but with a shorter, wider and more sculptural profile.
That makes it especially suited to indoor plants where you want the planter itself to remain visible as part of the setup.
FACET POT works beautifully with a range of small-to-medium indoor plants, depending on their root requirements.
Great for:
Succulents
Small foliage plants
Herbs
Compact indoor plants
Small flowering plants
Desk & shelf plants
Always choose a plant that suits the available soil depth and your lighting conditions.
Most plant pots are designed to disappear behind the plant.
FACET POT isn't.
The repeated geometric surfaces create changing highlights, shadows and depth around the entire planter, making the pot itself part of the room.
Turn it slightly and the form changes with the light.

ThingLab products are designed and 3D printed in Mumbai. Most pieces are produced in our studio, checked by us, packed and then sent out to you.
Instead of keeping large quantities of finished stock, many ThingLab objects are made after your order is placed. That gives us more freedom with colours, combinations and small-batch objects.
Because many pieces are made to order, production happens before dispatch. The latest estimated dispatch timeline is mentioned on the relevant product page. Tracking is shared after dispatch.

Once your order is dispatched, tracking information is shared with you so you can follow the shipment until it reaches you.
Slight layer lines and small variations are a natural part of the 3D printing process. They're part of how the object is made rather than a manufacturing defect.
